Privacy policy

Last updated 24 October 2026

This policy explains what Cold Email Desk collects, why, and who else handles it. We don't sell your data and don't show ads.

What we collect

  • Your name and email from Google, when you sign in.
  • The profile you fill in and any resume you upload: experience, skills, target roles and places.
  • Your list: companies found for you, the people to contact, drafts, notes and what you've sent.
  • Your searches and when they ran, and the credits you've used and bought.
  • In Prep Desk, what you've marked solved, studied or to revisit, your notes, and any files you attach. No other user can see them, and we don't open them.
  • If you post on the Referral Desk, what you write there. Anyone can read the post; the contact you give is shown only to people signed in to Cold Email Desk. Reports you make on posts are seen only by us.
  • If you apply or ask for a referral there, the name, email, LinkedIn, note and resume you choose to send. Only the person who posted it sees them, and they're deleted with the post, when you take the application back, or with your account.
  • Notifications about your posts and applications (someone applied, you were referred, your post went live), kept for 60 days, and sent to your Telegram too if you connected it.
  • If you connect Telegram, your Telegram chat ID, so results can be sent there.
  • For payments, the amount, status and Dodo Payments IDs. Card and UPI details go to Dodo Payments and never reach us.
  • Page views and load times through Vercel Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you across other sites.
  • When you download the desktop app: which installer, the page you clicked it on and your country, to count downloads. Not your IP address.

How it's used

Only to run the service for you: to search for jobs and startups that fit your profile, rate them, find people to contact, write your drafts, send your results to Telegram if you asked, keep your Prep Desk progress, show your Referral Desk posts, and handle payments and support.

Who else handles it

  • Supabase stores the database (Mumbai, India) and Vercel hosts the site (Mumbai, India).
  • Anthropic (Claude) reads your profile, resume and the listings found, to rate them and write drafts. Anthropic doesn't train its models on this data. Your Prep Desk notes and files are never sent to Claude or any other AI.
  • treg and the data providers behind it run job searches and people lookups. They receive search terms such as roles, places and company names, not your resume. Every source is listed on the Sources page.
  • Dodo Payments processes payments. Google handles sign-in, and Telegram delivers results if you connect it.

People shown as contacts

When someone using Cold Email Desk asks for people to contact at a company, we look up a few people there who can help with the role: at a startup, founders and engineering leads; at a large company, people at team level (engineers, analysts and consultants, recruiters and HR). This section is for them.

  • What we hold: your name, job title, work email, the link to your public LinkedIn profile if found, and where it came from.
  • Where it comes from: work emails published on the web (through Hunter), people search (through Exa), and email finders, all reached through treg. Addresses are checked with an email verifier before they're shown.
  • Why: so a job seeker can write to you, one to one and from their own email, about working at your company. We rely on the legitimate interest of job seekers and companies in hiring.
  • Who sees it: only the person who looked up your company, in their own list. We never sell it, publish it, or share one person's lookups with other users.
  • How long: as long as it's in that person's list. It's deleted when they remove the company or delete their account.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or have it removed and not shown again. See Remove my details. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object and to complain to your data-protection authority.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu (or ask us to): your profile, resume, list, searches, credits, keys, Telegram link, Prep Desk progress, notes and files, and Referral Desk posts and applications are deleted straight away. We keep only your account ID, a one-way hash of your email (it can't be turned back into the address; it lets us recognise a returning email, for example so free credits aren't given twice) and the dates you joined, last signed in and left. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

  • You can see and change your profile in the app at any time, and download your list with Export.
  • Delete your account yourself from the account menu: Delete account.
  • To get a copy of your data or correct it, write to hello@ouratlas.co.in from the email you sign in with.
  • Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can also withdraw consent and raise a complaint with us first, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, API keys are encrypted at rest, and each account can read only its own data. Sign-in is stored in your browser; there are no advertising cookies.

Children

Cold Email Desk is for people aged 18 and over.

Changes and contact
