Terms of service

1. The service

Cold Email Desk finds job openings and recently funded startups that fit the profile you give it, rates them, looks up people to contact at those companies, and drafts emails for you to send. It does not send emails, apply to jobs or contact anyone on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You sign in with Google. You must be at least 18 years old.
• An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what is done with your account.
• Give accurate information in your profile. Drafts are written from it.

3. Credits and payments

• Credits are prepaid units. A search uses 11 credits, finding people at a company uses 11, and reading a resume uses 1. Drafts, filters and exports are free.
• Prices are in Indian rupees (with a US dollar price for payments from abroad) and exclude tax. GST or other applicable tax is added on the payment page.
• Card and UPI payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and whose terms also apply to the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
• Credits from a one-time payment don't expire while the service runs. A monthly plan adds its credits when it starts and at each renewal, and renews until you cancel it.
• Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged, except as described in the refund policy.
• If a search fails because of a problem on our side, its credits are returned automatically.

4. Using it responsibly

Contact details and drafts are for your own job search. You agree not to:

• send bulk or unsolicited marketing email, or ignore anyone who asks you to stop writing to them;
• sell, publish or share the contact details shown to you, or use them for anything other than your own job search;
• misrepresent who you are or your experience in the emails you send;
• scrape the service, get around credit limits, or interfere with how it runs.

You are responsible for the emails you send and for following the laws that apply to them, including anti-spam and data-protection laws.

5. AI and third-party data

Ratings and drafts are written by AI (Anthropic's Claude), and job listings and contact details come from third-party sources. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before relying on it. We don't promise that you will get replies, interviews or a job.

Job listings, posts and news belong to the sites that published them. Each entry names its source and links to the original; we keep only what's needed to show and rate it. Names and trademarks belong to their owners, and listing a source doesn't mean it endorses Cold Email Desk. The sources are credited on the Sources page.

6. Your content

Your profile, resume, list and drafts remain yours. You let us store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.

7. Changes and ending

• We may change features and prices. A price change never affects credits you have already paid for, and a plan's new price applies only from your next renewal after we tell you.
• You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from the account menu. Unused credits aren't refunded when you delete it, so ask for a refund first if one is due.
• We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we close the service or an account without such a reason, we refund unused paid credits.

8. Liability

The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
