What's new

The features and improvements in each release, newest first.

Version 3.0.0 · 3 Nov 2026

Better matches for your level of experience

  • Roles are now matched on the experience the job post asks for, not only on its title. A “Senior” role that asks for three years is included when that's what you have.
  • A post that asks for a range, like 1–3 years, is included when your experience falls inside it.
  • Each search now looks through many more openings before choosing, so fewer good roles are missed.
  • Broken or mistyped links now open a clear “Page not found” page with a way back.
  • The desktop app moves to 3.0.0, the same version as the website. Installed apps update themselves.

Version 2.25 – 2.27 · 30 Oct 2026

More to study, and streaks

  • Prep Desk has a new Interview prep track (Java, system design, React, JavaScript and TypeScript, AWS) and an AI engineering track with a roadmap.
  • Streaks: see how many days in a row you've sent an email, solved a practice problem or ticked off a planned task.
  • Email drafts now say what the company's product is and who uses it, so the first line reads like you know them.
  • More startups: the careers pages of Indian venture-backed companies hiring in India are now searched.

Version 2.16 – 2.24 · 29 Oct 2026

Resume builder, a study planner and new prices

  • Resume builder: write your resume as plain text and get a clean, professionally laid-out resume, with a compact layout and saved versions.
  • Study planner: plan your preparation in a calendar, by day, week or month.
  • Every algorithm template in Prep Desk now comes in Java as well as Python, and 400 practice problems sit inside the study patterns.
  • Choose how far back a search looks: the last 3 days, a week, a month, or dates you pick.
  • Early access now comes at three prices, ₹49, ₹149 and ₹199, with no limit on how many people can join.
  • Roles far above or below your level are left out, in any industry.
  • The list tells you when filters are hiding entries, with one click to clear them.
  • Phones: every screen was tidied up, and the list refreshes when you come back to it.
  • A new page explains, in general terms, where the information in your list comes from.

Version 2.15 · 24 Oct 2026

Referral Desk and guides

  • Referral Desk: post roles your team is hiring for or referrals you can give, and apply to others with your saved profile. The poster can mark you referred, and you see it right away.
  • Notifications: a bell on every page, plus alerts in the desktop app and on Telegram.
  • Guides: step-by-step help with cold emailing for a job, including who to write to, what to say and templates to copy.
  • A more compact home screen and company list on phones.

Version 2.9 – 2.14 · 23 Oct 2026

Prep Desk and the Ideas board

  • Prep Desk: interview practice organised by pattern, with nearly 200 problems, the simple and the efficient way to solve each, and your own notes and files. They're private to you and never sent to an AI.
  • Competitive programming notes, and 90 algorithm cards, most with ready-to-use code.
  • Ideas board: suggest features, vote for the ones you want and see what has shipped.
  • At large companies, we now suggest engineers at your level to ask for a referral, not managers or directors.
  • Searches look at roles a year either side of your experience.

Version 2.0 – 2.8 · 22 Oct 2026

Version 2: the website and the desktop app

  • The desktop app for macOS and Windows reaches version 2, and from 2.1 it updates itself.
  • Resizable panes in the desktop app.
  • Run search tells you up front when you don't have enough credits.
  • You can ask to be removed if your contact details were found by a search.

Version 1.0 – 1.37 · 20 Oct 2026

Launch

  • Cold Email Desk launches on the web and as a desktop app: it finds fresh roles and newly funded startups that fit your profile, rates each one, finds the right person and drafts the first email for you to send.
  • Jobs come from companies' own careers pages and job boards, and startups from funding news and hiring posts.
  • Searches work outside India too, including “Anywhere in Europe” and ten European countries.
  • New openings and new funding news from companies already on your list are added as fresh entries.
  • Follow the companies you care about, and filter your list by the search that found each entry.
  • Pick your target roles and skills from searchable lists.
  • Early access with a one-time founding price, paid by UPI or card.
  • Searches became much cheaper to run, so each one costs far fewer credits.
  • A deeper review option for paying members.
  • Themes (Meadow and Gingham), a phone-friendly layout, and a fresh look.
  • Very long lists load in full.
  • About, Contact and policy pages, and a way to delete your account.
